What is it that makes you come alive? Are you doing something about it? I love watching the guy in this clip – both because he is hysterical and because he is intense when it comes to singing. And he’s not content just to talk about it. He’s so passionate that he has to act on it and share it with those around him. As a Christ follower – the gospel (the good news that Jesus proclaimed) should compel us to act on it and share it with those around us. Does the gospel move you and me to this end? If not perhaps we need to re-examine the significance of what Jesus said and did.

One important distinction between the actions in the video clip and what we’re called to do: I don’t think God intends for us to make those around us uncomfortable. Now it’s true that there are times when His Word will make some uncomfortable, and that’s fine – there are times it makes me uncomfortable. However, many times the reason people are turned off by Christians has nothing to do with the message. Don’t blame the gospel for your weirdness or your impertinence.
