Kindergarten Graduation May 19, 2008

Emma had her kindergarten graduation this past week.  Not surprising, but she was the only child that had their name called twice to come up and receive their certificate.  She is such an “in the moment” type of person.  We stood up to watch her walk.  She started waving and pointing out to all of her friends who we were.  She actually didn’t even hear them say her name the second time, but we were frantically pointing toward the podium and motioning for her to walk over there.  It’s not much of a stretch to imagine that happening at her highschool or college graduation someday.

She was so excited about the event, as you can tell.  Payton was excited once the event was over.  I’m proud of my Emma-bear.  She worked hard this year on her reading and was very persistent about us doing it together every night.  She really loves school.  So much so, that she opted to do a month of summer school.  She wants to ride the bus too, she’s afraid that she is missing out on something by being a car rider.
