missionariesCarey and I are now official Mission Service Corps missionaries for the North American Mission Board.  We spent the last 5 days in Jackson, Mississippi for training, networking, and a commissioning service.

The thing we enjoyed the most were our conversations with other church planters and missionaries.  It was great to listen to the stories of people who are already out there doing what we’ll be doing.  Learned lots and made some new friends.

The trip home was not quite as fun.  We left for the airport early to catch our 9:30 flight to Dallas.  It was late.  We actually watched another plane leave for Dallas, return, and leave again before our plane showed up.  We flew out of Jackson at 1:00 which made for a hectic afternoon as I tried to make a meeting in OKC that night.  But even in this God gave us opportunity to visit extensively with a church planter and his wife from Utah as we spent the morning waiting on the flight.

I’m looking forward to hanging out in OKC today with Ben Janssen.  And I’m thankful that I don’t have to catch anymore flights for a while 🙂
