Are you scared of Christmas? September 14, 2010

A local radio station has started a countdown for Christmas.  Now I love Christmas just as much as the next guy (well, actually a whole lot more than the next guy – especially if that guy happens to be Jewish or Muslim), but aren’t Christmas countdowns in September a bit ridiculous.

So what’s so scary about Christmas.  Well, there’s lots to be scared of, as you can tell from the picture.  First of all, it’s the only time of year when people expect you to be nice to them.  How scary is that expectation!  No way I can be nice to everyone for a month straight.

Secondly, there is gift giving.  As Sheldon Cooper so aptly puts it “You haven’t given me a gift, you’ve given me an obligation.”  No wonder this baby is scared.  What is Santa going to expect of him?

I leave you with this further explanation and demonstration of finding the proper gift.
